    Domain Authority

A score from 1-100 that predicts how well a website will rank in search results. Higher scores mean the site is more likely to rank well. It's based on many factors like age, size, and backlinks.

Domain Authority (DA) is a metric created by Moz to estimate how likely a website is to rank in search results compared to other sites. The score ranges from 1 to 100, with higher numbers indicating stronger ranking potential. While not an official Google metric, DA provides a useful way to compare your site's overall strength to competitors or track improvements over time. DA is calculated using many factors, with backlinks being especially important. Both the quantity and quality of sites linking to you affect your score. Other factors include the age of your domain, site structure, content quality, and technical SEO elements. New websites typically start with low DA scores and gradually improve as they build reputation and links. It's important to understand that DA is comparative rather than absolute. A DA of 30 might be excellent in a niche with little competition but insufficient in highly competitive industries. Don't obsess over reaching a specific number—instead, focus on creating great content, earning quality backlinks, and providing value to users. Your DA will naturally increase as you implement good SEO practices.
