Sitemap Generator

The Sitemap Generator creates an XML sitemap for your website to improve search engine indexing — add your URLs, set optional change frequency and priority, and download a ready-to-use sitemap.xml file.

How to Use It

  1. Add each URL on your site you want included in the sitemap.
  2. Optionally set a change frequency (how often the page updates) and priority (relative importance) for each URL.
  3. Generate the sitemap and either copy the XML directly to your clipboard or download the sitemap.xml file.
  4. Upload the file to your site's root directory and submit it in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

When to Use It

  • New sites — a sitemap helps search engines discover your pages faster than waiting for organic crawl discovery alone.
  • Sites without a CMS-generated sitemap — if your platform doesn't auto-generate one, this fills the gap.
  • Small, manually-managed sites — for a handful of pages, manually building a sitemap here is often faster than configuring a plugin or build step.

What It Doesn't Do

For larger sites with frequently changing content (like an active blog), a dynamically-generated sitemap (built into your CMS or framework) is generally a better long-term solution than manually maintaining one here — this tool is best suited for smaller, more static sites or a one-time sitemap creation.

Where to Go Next

Once your sitemap is submitted, our SEO Analyzer helps make sure the individual pages in it are actually optimized to rank once crawled.
