Best link building services, according to Reddit (2026)

The short version

  • Every link building service Reddit names, with the praise, the complaints in users' exact words, and prices checked on 31 Oct 2026.
  • We sell links too, so we're boxed off.

Reddit's advice on link building services comes down to one pattern: most cheap, packaged services sell placements on sites that exist to sell links, and the few services people praise are expensive ones where the buyer approves every site. Nobody on Reddit agrees on a single "best" pick. You get a short list of names, plenty of warnings and a few tests worth running.

Disclosure: We sell link building services. We aren't in the list below; we're in our own box at the end, labelled "we sell this".

We read 142 Reddit threads about links, SEO tools and agencies, and on 31 October 2026 we re-read every thread quoted on this page. The ledger lists each service Redditors name and how many of those threads mention it. It also shows what people praise, what they complain about (quoted exactly and linked), and the price on the vendor's own page that day. Last checked: 31 October 2026. Our method for picking threads and spotting sellers who pose as customers is on how we research Reddit.

The ledger: services Reddit names

These services come up in r/SEO, r/bigseo, r/localseo and r/linkbuilding, ordered by how many threads name them. A mention isn't a vote, and plenty of mentions are complaints. Each quote is one person's account, so open the thread before you treat it as typical.

We left two frequently mentioned names out of the table on purpose. Links Stream shows up in 4 threads and Promopilot in 2, and in each case the praise comes from accounts whose comments read like ads: the product name, a feature list, then a "this is the one I stuck with" story. One account posted nearly the same Promopilot comment in two different threads. We don't count those as recommendations.

Watch the subreddit as well. The most upvoted "best link building agencies" thread in r/linkbuilding (190+ points) came from an account that says its company now owns the subreddit, and some comments there praise that company. No rule stops a vendor from running the forum, but it means you aren't reading a neutral panel.

What Redditors agree on

Reddit doesn't point to one vendor. It agrees on a set of rules. Approve every site before you pay. Judge a site by its organic traffic and topic rather than its DR. Avoid packages sold through ads. Expect quality to cost $250 or more a link. Paying for links isn't a red flag by itself, but paying only for links is.

That last point is the best line in these threads. Someone asked r/bigseo about an agency whose links were all paid placements at $25 to $150, and the replies agreed the problem was the price and the lack of anything earned. One reply said every link being paid was the warning sign, and asked where the linkable assets, PR and partnerships were.

Other points come up again and again:

  • Pre-approval matters. The one positive Editorial.Link report singled out being able to approve each link before it went live.
  • "Earned" pricing doesn't add up. Most services list a fixed price per placement while also saying they never buy links. Google's spam policies treat paid links that pass ranking credit as link spam unless they're marked sponsored or nofollow, so ask how each link is labelled.
  • Guest post networks fade. u/joyhawkins wrote in r/localseo that the sites vendors sell on tend to lose ranking pages over the years, so the links help for a while and then unwind.
  • Sellers will find you. Several posters say that asking for link services brings a wave of DMs from sellers. Treat those the same way you'd treat the ads.

Ask for five live example links in your niche, then check each site yourself. Is the page indexed? Does the site get organic traffic, and is that traffic holding steady? Does it link out to casinos or loan sites? Start with one small order. If a service won't show examples or let you approve sites, walk away.

A r/linkbuilding thread offers a practical checklist: check the price, the case studies and the team's LinkedIn profiles, start with a test order, ask for pre-approval of sites, and find out how long the replacement guarantee lasts. Our longer version, with the questions to ask on a sales call, is in how to vet a backlink agency. Before any purchase, read what to check before you buy backlinks.

Published prices put DR 50 links at $249 to $405 each and DR 70+ links from about $399. Managed monthly programs run from $1,000 to $25,000 or more. The common view on Reddit is that quality starts around $250 a link, and anything much cheaper comes from sites built to sell links.

We read the pricing pages of 13 providers on 31 October 2026:

Where our service fits (we sell this)

We sell this, so it isn't in the ledger above. BacklinkBot runs a managed link building service. Here is exactly what it is, so you can compare it against the table.

  • Price: DR 50-69 links $200-300 each, DR 70+ from $450. Most clients start on a monthly package from $2,000, which is about 8 DR 50+ links.
  • Sites: DR 50 or higher on the day we place the link, at least 1,000 organic visits a month, and on topic for your niche. No PBNs, link farms or sites that exist to sell posts.
  • Approval: you approve every site before we pitch it.
  • Labels: you pay for our work, not for the link. If a site only offers paid placement, we tell you first and mark the link sponsored.
  • Guarantee: we check every link weekly and replace one that drops within 12 months. Month to month, no long contract.
  • Agencies: unbranded reports, and we never contact your client.

Details and terms are on white label link building. If you'd rather run outreach yourself, our SEO agent finds pages already ranking for your keywords and drafts each pitch for you to approve. Plans start at $49 a month (Starter, 1 site).

We hold ourselves to the same tests. Ask us for example links in your niche and check them the way you'd check anyone else's. If you're comparing providers on price and contract terms instead of Reddit sentiment, our roundup of link building services lists every price as checked on the vendor's own page.

Want to see which sites we'd pitch for you? Book a call from the white label link building page and ask for the site list before you pay anything.

Want these links without the spreadsheet?

From $49 a month, the agent finds and pitches the pages already ranking for your keywords. Or we submit you to 100+ directories by hand, from $99 once. Either way, you approve everything.
